Season 17 Differances?

I posted this question on the new (resurrected) message boards at 5th street, but have not gotten an answer, so Ill give it a shot here.

Early on in this season I thought I heard that this season would run for 17 weeks instead of the old 13 weeks and that to be fully vested for the Power Ranking you would have to play 30 games. Is this correct? What other pertinent details of the league have changed this season?
