Heads up hand with My Son

Postby I Raise » Mon Oct 06, 2008 7:20 am

In a short heads up session with my 12 year old last night. Pretty early in the session.

Im delt Kd Jd

We are playing 25 = 50 blinds

Big Pretty even stacks.

He is small blind and calls the 50

I Raise to 250 and he calls

Flop is Ad Ks 10d

He bets 1500 and I Raise to 3000 and get the call

Turn is Kc

He pushes all in for my last 7125

What to do?

6500 in the pot already

so 7125 to win 13625
with only guaranteed middle tripps
Any diamond, any card on the board (A K 10) any J or any queen for the win or possible split or Royal.

Is there any hand that I would not want to get my chips in against?

Even with all the cards face up?

AA or 10 10 I would not like to see, but he just called the BB before the flop and my raise.

I called, he showed Jh Qh for the flopped straight.

River does not matter - should I have called?
